iPod Touch Overview

There’s nothing but great things to say about the iPod Touch. The Wi-Fi mobile platform allows users to freely browse the net right from their iPod Touch. The iPod Touch was released on September 5, 2007 with a completely new multi-touch graphical user interface and wireless access to the iTunes Store. Apple has sold over 20 million iPod Touch units as of September 2009 and continues to set records daily. The iPod Touch is currently in its third generation (3G), and is available in either a 8GB, 32GB, or a 64GB flash memory.

What can you do with the first generation iPod Touch? Watch movies and TV shows on a brilliant 3.5-inch diagonal wide screen color display. Use the revolutionary Multi-Touch interface to click through your music in Cover Flow. Cover Flow is a sophisticated 3D file viewer that smoothly transitions from one image to the next. If you want more entertainment, just tap on iTunes to browse and buy. The built-in Wi-Fi means you can surf the web, send emails, chat using AIM, watch YouTube videos and so much more - all on a little device that fits in your pocket.

First Generation iPod Touch

It’s hard to believe that the iPod Touch has been around since September 5th 2007. There were two versions originally released, the 8GB iPod Touch and the 16GB iPod Touch. The Safari web browser and wireless access to the iTunes Store and YouTube are just a couple reasons this Mp3 player is the best selling iPod of all times. On February 5th 2008 Apple launched their 1st Generation 32GB iPod Touch. The audio battery life lasts an incredible 22 hours with up to 5 hours of video viewing.

Second Generation iPod Touch

On September 9th 2008 Apple released their 8GB iPod Touch, 16GB iPod Touch, and 32 GB iPod Touch. Apple offered a newly designed tapered chrome back with Nike+ functionality, volume buttons, built-in speaker, and support for an external microphone. The iPhone OS 2.0 and App Store access are also standard on the 2nd Generation iPod Touch. Along with the new changes, Apple also increased the iPod Touch battery life, giving it 36 hours of audio battery life, and 6 hours of video viewing.

Third Generation iPod Touch

The Third Generation iPod Touch was released on September 9th 2009 and comes available in either a 8GB, 16GB or a 32GB iPod Touch and features the new iPhone 3.1 operating system. The Third Generation iPod Touch has the same microprocessor as the iPhone 3GS and has all the goodies you would expect from this quality of MP3 player. This iPod also includes features like, voice control, light sensor, and bundled earphones with a remote and microphone. The Third Generation iPod Touch is truly a music lovers dream!
